SG is headquartered in San Francisco’s Jackson Square District, nestled among amazing restaurants, galleries, bars and a stunning array of opportunities for caffeination and the imbibing of potent potables. Our New York City office lives in a community of tech startups, at 11th and University.

In addition to competitive salaries and comprehensive medical benefits, we have a kitchen we affectionately call Carb Alley and have been known to break into karaoke on Friday afternoons. SG throws a mean party, including cupcakes and champagne for no reason at all, and recently collaborated on a company-wide strategy to keep clients serviced while we all went out to a ghost tour of Chinatown.

SG offers a series of trainings taught by our own whip-smart in-house specialists, as well as outside speakers like journalists and paid marketing specialists, to keep you current, sharpen your existing skill set and allow you to take a deep dive into new areas of interest.

On the 2012 SG Training Calendar, there are sessions like New Biz Pitch Tips and Tricks, a Broadcast Media Pitching Intensive (presented by a local journalist) and Social Media Analytics.

At SG, you have the power to design your own career, and to flex your brainpower on some serious responsibilities, even early on. Given our boutique size and the range of our client list, from consumer tech startups to established brands, every SGer interacts with CEOs, CMOs or VPs of our client companies, and has continual opportunities to work side-by-side with members of our own, uber-smart executive team.

Wanna be a mobile guru? Are you committed to becoming a consumer media expert? SG offers you the flexibility and opportunity to be in charge of your own destiny. SG’s Digital Story Studio offers training and opportunities for SGers who elect to take a creative, digital, content or marketing career track.

We offer a 6-month full-time paid internship program to college graduates looking for hands-on experience in the warp-speed world of tech PR and Comms.  By the end of your internship, you’ll know exactly what it’s like to work in a next-gen PR and Digital Communications Agency. We hire interns on a rolling basis and are always accepting applications.

The SG Team Story: By the Numbers

A rigorous quantitative analysis of the lives of SG team members reveals that we’ve traveled from Cairo to Hokkaido, by way of Belfast and Tegucigalpa -- with many stops in-between. We have lived in nearly 70 different cities, from Walnut Creek to Austin, Tokyo and Rome.

Among us, we have eight kids and 15 tattoos. We are the proud parents to six cats and 19 dogs – the latter of whom are disproportionately Labs, Boston Terriers and Cocker Spaniels. Oh – and a beta fish named Anaconda Ronan. And a rabbit called Taco.

We cut our professional teeth working:
. . .on a Christmas tree farm,
. . .at a Chicago-style pizza parlor,
. . .as ‘Icreamologists’, (and ‘Froyo-ologists’), and
. . .as prop kids for the Joffrey ballet.

We’ve been camp counselors, muffin makers, fur trappists  (seriously...) and voice-over artists. We are a highly digital bunch, but we’ve also got traditional media street cred -- we have former journalists from the AP and CNN, as well a former bicycle newspaper delivery kid in our ranks!

We’ve downloaded well over 1800 apps and have thousands of photos on our cameras (mostly of the aforementioned kids and dogs).

In our PR careers we’ve collectively launched well over a thousand products, while still finding time to produce two certified yoga instructors, a licensed pilot and even a few reality TV alums (Bachelor much?). We’ve run marathons, competed in triathlons, and written books.

We’re on average three degrees removed from Kevin Bacon but only one from Mark Zuckerberg.

That’s our story – what’s yours?
