Account Executive
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related field
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to implement public relations tactics and impart knowledge to more junior team members
- Strong research, writing, editing and client interaction skills
- Performs well under pressure
- Team player
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to execution of communications plans that meet client objectives
- Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
- Build relationships with clients, media and colleagues at all levels
- Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content
- Supervise junior staff by motivating, coaching and consistently providing feedback
- Help plan and coordinate traditional and social media outreach programs
- Aid in new business process including idea contribution, research and proposal preparation
- Manage specific programs on an account including speaking, awards, media outreach
- Creative idea generation on accounts
- Demonstrate ability to establish relationships with key industry reporters that result in coverage for clients
- Develop creative pitches for news announcement and trend pitching
- Identify key media to go after for client announcements (funding reporters, new hire reporters, product reviews)
- Media tour logistics and booking, including schedules, announcements, pre-briefs and follow up
- Draft releases on client news (funding, new hire, awards)
- Draft program sections of strategic plans
- Provide insightful analysis of coverage and announcement recaps for clients
- Attend networking events on behalf of SutherlandGold
- Regularly share knowledge of industry with broader SG team for cross agency efforts

Account Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum four years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects (including budgets) and teams simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, including delegating and editing the work of others
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute plans to meet client goals
- Oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence
- Play major role in creation of communications plans and goals and manage against them
- Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate; address client issues thoughtfully and effectively
- Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content
- Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans
- Supervise staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, and conducting reviews
- Contribute to business growth through growing existing budgets, introducing clients to new capabilities and building network of industry contacts
- Proactively communicate recommended response to competitive news/industry trends
- Consult with client on media strategy and approach for announcements and trend pitching
- Draft media documents including pitches, releases, Q&As and blog posts
- Communicate strategy, approach and updates to clients on all programs
- Contribute to the operational efficiency of the firm by developing reusable documents, templates, and improving processes
- Attend networking events on behalf of company
- Updates SutherlandGold on key events, reporters, news within industries that may impact other clients

Account Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field
- Business and PR acumen to quickly determine short and long term priorities for self and junior team members to ensure all client needs are met
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Public Relations agency setting
- Experienced in managing a diverse range of accounts
- Strategic, analytical thinker with the initiative to see a program through from start to finish
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and juggle multiple assignments and changing priorities
- Proven success managing teams and mentoring junior staff
- Extensive client services experience
