What do I love most about working here?  I really love the people and how many great ideas are floating around. There is an environment of creativity and acceptance. Everybody is always contributing and shouting out and getting their ideas noticed. I think everyone is really comfortable and accepting,so people can find their own place in an environment like that. It’s really fosters individual growth — and team and client growth, for that matter.

I grew up around science fiction and a lot of nerdy ‘boy’ stuff. My family members for the most part works in science and technology, so I always thought that I was gonna work in a completely different field. I went to school for English and Journalism, so I thought I’d be a writer — the artistic, creative one.Now, here I am, in PR for technology! As much as I tried to escape, I just couldn’t. I love technology, I grew up in it, and I’ve always been involved in it. Honestly, at night I sit at home watching the Science Channel.

I get my news the old-fashioned way — I literally read the Chronicle every day. Its just something that I got in the habit of doing in journalism school. The newspaper was our text book; you had to be reading the local news sources every day. And I think that’s what’s so great about living in a metropolitan area — the local daily does pull in the national news and the international stories. And since many of our clients are local, keeping on top of the local news is important. I know its not ‘hip’ but I feel like it’s pretty efficient.
